About the Workshop:
In Matthew chapter 2, the Magi (the three wise men) brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the child Jesus. Whatever became of these majestic gifts? This story becomes the starting point for this Bibliodrama. Participants will be asked to step into the roles of Mary and Joseph as poor refugees, the gifts for a king, the growing financial needs of a family fleeing certain death, and various other roles. Participants will gain a window into the text and a mirror into themselves. Participants will need to bring pen and paper for some writing exercises. Our time will integrate both didactic elements and action methods.

Phil Armour, M.MFT,  LPC  & LMFT, has forged a private practice counseling office in Longview, Texas for over 20 years.  He has partnered with individuals and families on a wide variety of issues to help them live emotionally healthier lives.  He has attended numerous workshops on creativity in therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, psychotherapy and Bibliodrama.   In 2013, he attended an intensive 4-day training on Applied Theatre and Spiritual Formation at Fuller Theological Seminary.  In November 2019, he partnered with two other professionals to present a 3 hour workshop on Bibliodrama and Family Therapy.  His website is www.PhilArmourLPC.com and his email is Phil@PhilArmourLPC.com.
