SOCIODRAMATIC ROLE TRAINING

HVPI in collaboration with TELE’DRAMA Presents:

SOCIODRAMATIC ROLE TRAINING

Friday, June 3, 2022
09:00 AM - 04:30 PM Central Time (US & Canada)
10:00 AM - 05:30 PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)

04:00 PM - 11:30 PM Central European Summer Time (CEST)

Online via Zoom
With Rebecca Walters, LMHC, LCAT, TEP
and Regina Sewell, PhD/MEd, LMHC, PCC, CP, PAT

Sociodramatic Role training uses experiential techniques such as the Empty Chair, Role Reversal and Doubling to help group members learn and practice new and more adequate responses to challenging situations.

SOCIODRAMATIC ROLE TRAINING CAN EASILY BE ADAPTED FOR:
- Therapy and counseling groups where there is not yet the required level of trust, including a lack of commitment to confidentiality, that would permit more personal work;
- DBT skill groups and anger management groups;
- Social skills groups for all ages for those who need to develop new behaviors;
- Classroom, corporate and community settings where participants may want to learn specific interpersonal skills without revealing their own vulnerabilities.

SO MUCH IS POSSIBLE WITH SOCIODRAMATIC ROLE TRAINING!
- Bosses and supervisors can learn how to give feedback and set goals.
- Teachers can learn how to talk to parents; parents learn how to talk to teachers.
- Medical personnel can learn how to give bad news or respond to angry patients.
- Youngsters can learn how to walk away from a fight or how to safely intervene in one.
- Counselors can increase their skills in interacting with challenging clients.
- Parents can improve their interactions with their children.
- Teenagers can learn how to set boundaries with peers.
- Isolated adults can learn how to socialize.
- People in recovery can practice saying no to substances.
- And much, much more…..!

SOCIODRAMATIC ROLE TRAINING IS ROLE PLAY DONE RIGHT!
YOU WILL LEARN:
- How to warm up your group and get them engaged;
- How to create scenarios and get group members to actively participate;
- How to direct simple sociodrama role training exercises using the empty chair, doubling and role reversal.
