Embracing the Precious Scars - Healing Loss
through Psychodrama and Other Action Methods

About the module:
Paige Bradley’s sculpture is called “Expansion.” We invite you to join us to explore together whether scars can really be precious to people? Can they lead to expansion, help look at life from a different perspective? Can loss transform people for the better, is it possible to heal from it, even be transformed by it?


The module is appropriate for mental health professionals, students and the general public.

Cost:

Dr. Daniela Simmons, PhD, TEP, the creator of TELE'DRAMA® and the International Tele'Drama Institute (ITI), is international trainer & supervisor, the founder and director of the Expressive Therapies Training Institute (ETTi), the President of the American Society in Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP). Daniela Simmons', professional experience, both in Europe and the US, is in educational, research, and consultancy work in the social sciences and mental health. She has been utilizing action methods sessions since 1995 in Europe and since 2005 in the US. Email: danielatsv@gmail.com

Dr. Hande Karakılıç Üçer, MD, is a Psychiatrist in clinical private practice, providing medical treatment and psychotherapy in Turkish, English and French. She is Associate Psychodrama Trainer at Dr. Abdülkadir Özbek Psychodrama Institute in Ankara, Turkey; also Expressive Arts Therapist. She worked with refugees with IOM, UNHCR; coordinated disaster psycho-social interventions. Organizational consultant for Embassies, EU Delegation etc. in Ankara. Secretary General of the International Society for Health and Human Rights-ISHHR; member of International Association of Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes (IAGP) and its Trauma Task Force; member of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP) handekarakilic@hotmail.com
