Ron Wiener, PhD is a former honorary President of the British Psychodrama Association and is a senior sociodrama trainer awarded a lifetime achievement award in 2008. He co-lead the Sociodrama and Action Methods Training (MPV/SAM) in England with Di Adderley. He has run trainings and/or workshops across Europe, in Russia, China and India as well as in America and Australia. He is a founding member of ISCAN, the International Sociodrama and Creative Action Network and has been a consultant for the seven international sociodrama conferences. He is co-editor of Sociodrama in a Changing World, and author of Drug Taking Among School Children (which was his PhD thesis), Creative Training, and Community Action: The Belfast Experience, in addition to numerous articles and book chapters. In his semi-retirement, Ron loves being a grandparent, and also works as a mentor and community theatre director, which includes two improvisation workshops on zoom, and an Asian theatre company. Diane Adderley, Senior Trainer in Sociodrama, Psychodrama Practitioner British Psychodrama Association (BPA), UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Diane Adderley lives and works in Manchester, UK and has been in private therapy practice for over 20 years. She is both a qualified psychodramatist and a sociodrama trainer, and also an Accredited Playback Theatre Trainer (APTT). Together with Dr Ron Wiener, the founder, she co-directed the UK's only sociodrama training school (MPV/SAM) from 2006-2012. Recently, as a member of iSCAN (international Sociodrama and Creative Action Network), she has been delivering both training and experiential workshops online, particularly on topics connected to both the pandemic and the climate crisis. In 2021, Diane was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by the British Psychodrama Association. |
