Jaye Moyer, LCSW, TEP is a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor practicing in New York City and the Hudson Valley. She works with individuals, couples, and groups. She also provides training, consultation, and mentoring to mental health practitioners. She has always been interested in creativity and the creative process. How do we grow and develop creativity? Creativity is about seeing something in a new way and responding in a new way. She looks for ways to incorporate humor, spontaneity, playfulness, and intuition into her work. Compassion and kindness are essential qualities (personally and in her work). When we can embody these qualities more easily, we feel less distress, more stability, and flexibility. Jaye was staff and a trainer at the Psychodrama Institute of New York for over 15 years. She has a committed meditation practice and continues a study of Theravada and Tibetan Buddhism. She feels free to draw from a wide variety of inspirations: faith traditions, nature, and the arts. She has been guided and inspired by the teachings of John Makransky, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, and Susan and Bill Morgan. All about the heart!
