- Background: Retired Educator, Granddaughter of Dr. J.L. Moreno, Daughter of Regina Moreno.
- Experience:
- Public school educator for 30 years; retired elementary school principal.
- Certified trainer in psychodrama, sociometry, and group psychotherapy.
- Recognized trainer in restorative practices and Peacemaking Circles.
- Focus Areas:
- Community development in workplaces.
- Conflict intervention.
- Dialogue support across differences.
- Accomplishments:
- Trained hundreds of educators to use restorative practices for creating safe and supportive learning communities in classrooms and schools.
Dr. Leticia Nieto, PsyD, LMFT, TEP
- Background: Born in Puebla, Mexico; immigrated to the US in 1978.
- Experience:
- Social justice advocate working with people experiencing incarceration, addiction, and displacement.
- Specialist in anti-racism, economic, immigrant, and disability justice.
- Degrees in theatre, human development, and clinical psychology.
- Professional Focus:
- Developed an intersectional model to train counselors and leaders in anti-oppression theory and reflective practice.
- Areas of expertise include gender justice, indigenous self-determination, children and elder rights, and queer justice.
- Primarily uses action methods (psychodrama and expressive arts) to support anti-oppression trainers and leaders.
- Teaching: Worked for 33 years as a professor training Masters and Doctoral students.
- Current Work: Maintains a counseling practice and collaborates with anti-oppression trainers and leaders.
