This two-hour online experiential workshop explores how social identities are formed, expressed, and negotiated in virtual environments. Through action methods, participants will examine the ways identity can shape experiences of both oppression and intimacy within groups and interpersonal interactions.Using guided processes that externalize internalized dialogues, participants will learn to give embodied expression to the voices, roles, and internalized social narratives that influence their thinking and relating. By witnessing these roles outside of themselves, participants gain opportunities for insight, reframing, and transformation. The session integrates sociometry, role work, and cognitive-experiential techniques to deepen awareness of how identity dynamics live within us—and how they can be shifted toward empowerment, authenticity, and connection.
Explore how social identities can be expressed and examined in online settings, and how these identities may contribute to experiences of either oppression or intimacy.
Understand and apply methods to externalize internalized dialogues, creating opportunities for witnessing and transformation.
