Orientation Training: Responsible & Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence for Human-Centered Practice
Presenter: Daniela Simmons, PhD, TEP
In this 2-hour orientation, we will explore how
Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used as a
supportive tool—one that enhances, rather than replaces, human intelligence, presence, and judgment.
This session is designed for
educators, trainers, consultants, facilitators, and other professionals working in human-centered fields such as personal development, organizational work, education, coaching, and beyond.
We live in a virtual and technological era that is evolving rapidly. While we cannot avoid the presence of AI in our personal and professional environments, we
can learn to approach it with
clarity, ethical responsibility, and thoughtful intention.
This training is not about promoting AI as a replacement for human roles—it is about understanding how we, as professionals, can remain
in control of the tools we choose, just as we are with any methodology, modality, or intervention. The principles of
responsible, ethical, and effective practice apply whether we’re working with technology or therapeutic methods.
We will explore:
- What AI is—and what it is not
- How AI can support planning, communication, and productivity
- What ethical and responsible use of AI looks like in professional settings
- Why human leadership, empathy, and decision-making remain central and irreplaceable
- Why developing literacy in this area is no longer optional—but a critical professional competency
This session offers a
foundational overview of the topic.
Follow-up
training, supervision, or consultation will be available upon request for those who wish to explore the subject more deeply.
