The 25
This is a sociodrama workshop on zoom exploring the state of the world.

Sociodrama is concerned with exploring group issues by understanding the systems, roles and values which underlie an issue
We live in a world with climate catastrophe, wars, refugees, global inequalities to name but a few.
In whose interests does this world run?

The suggestion is that there are 25 people – social media tycoons, right wing populists, hedge fund billionaires, fossil fuel CEO’s – mainly white males – who benefit most. How do they do this?
Then there are the people who oppose them – XR activists, green environmentalists, democratic politicians and so on.

What tools do they have to produce change?
We can in this sociodrama arrange for them to meet at a Davos gathering. Davos is a Swiss town where the World Economic Forum meets annually.
You can be there – by trying out different roles to understand why people hold the views they do and what can be done to create a fairer world.

You might think other forces need to be present such as ‘capitalism’ or values such as ‘equality.’ These can also be held as roles.
Even though during the workshop there will be space to warm up to the different roles, the more research you can do beforehand will enable the workshop to go deeper in its understanding of why the world is as it is and where change can occur.
