Program Description
Food is rarely just about nutrition. Our earliest experiences of nourishment, attachment, safety, celebration, culture, trauma, and loss shape the roles food comes to play throughout our lives.
M.E.A.L.S. Online Certification Program in Eating Psychology, Psychodrama, and Other Experiential Applications is an innovative experiential certification that integrates psychodrama, sociometry, role theory, mindfulness, attachment theory, and trauma-informed practice to explore the emotional meaning of eating and the journey toward healing.
Participants will actively experience and practice psychodramatic interventions designed to address eating disorders, emotional eating, body image concerns, food trauma, shame, and recovery. Theory is immediately translated into action through role training, sociometry, guided imagery, creative arts, mindfulness, and psychodrama.
Designed for psychotherapists, counselors, psychologists, social workers, drama therapists, psychodramatists, coaches, healthcare professionals, educators, graduate students, and other helping professionals, this certification provides practical, experiential tools that can be immediately adapted for individuals, groups, families, and educational settings.
