Grief is a profoundly human experience that reaches far beyond bereavement. It can be present in losses, transitions, unmet expectations, untold stories, and experiences that remain unseen or unspoken within ourselves and our families.

Stories have always helped us give shape and meaning to what is difficult to name. The stories we hear, inherit, remember, tell—or never tell—may carry experiences of loss and separation, but also resilience, belonging, connection, and hope.This experiential workshop invites participants on a journey through the Map of Grief™, an original visual and symbolic exploration tool created and developed by Cristina Hockl. Rather than approaching grief as a linear process, the Map of Grief™ offers a landscape of symbolic places through which different dimensions of grief can be encountered, expressed, and explored.

Together with Ron Wiener, Cristina Hockl will guide participants through an experiential exploration of the Map of Grief™, using storytelling, symbolic mapping, guided reflection, and group processes.

Participants will be invited to explore their own landscapes of grief: Where am I now? What story brought me here? Where might I want to stop and listen? What has remained untold? Who or what accompanies me? And where might the story lead next?Moving between story, metaphor, imagination, and lived experience, the workshop creates space not only for sorrow and vulnerability, but also for the resources, relationships, memories, and resilience that accompany us through experiences of loss.Stories are invited to be witnessed rather than interpreted, opening possibilities for new perspectives, meaning, connection, and integration.
