"Aging is a natural and lifelong journey. Like every stage of human development, it brings both challenges and opportunities that can be welcomed, embraced, and transformed into pathways toward growth, meaning, connection, and happiness."
— Dr. Daniela Simmons, Phd, TEP, Gerontologist
Aging is a natural and lifelong journey. Like every stage of human development, it brings changes, transitions, challenges, and opportunities for continued growth and discovery. While every chapter of life is unique, each offers possibilities for learning, meaningful relationships, contribution, purpose, and fulfillment.
This experiential workshop invites participants to explore aging as an ongoing process of development and adaptation. Through sociodrama, psychodrama, group dialogue, and experiential activities, participants will examine personal and societal beliefs about aging, explore ways of navigating life's transitions, and discover practical approaches to living well throughout the years ahead.
Together, we will explore how to embrace change, strengthen resilience, maintain meaningful connections, cultivate purpose, and recognize new opportunities that can emerge throughout the aging journey. Participants will be encouraged to view aging not simply as the passage of time, but as a continuing opportunity for growth, contribution, creativity, and connection.
Directed by Dr. Daniela Simmons, a psychodramatist, psychotherapist, educator, and gerontologist with decades of experience in mental health, social sciences, and applied gerontology, this workshop integrates professional knowledge with experiential learning to support a positive, realistic, and fulfilling approach to aging.
